BARCELONA: SAMSUNG CLEARLY THINKS that bigger is better, equipping the new Galaxy S7 Edge with a 5.5in screen compared with the 5.1in display on last year’s model, complete with the same Edge functionality as before.
The Galaxy S7 Edge also packs the same incremental updates as its Galaxy S7 sibling, including a microSD slot and IP68 certification, meaning it’s resistant to water and dust.
The handset also packs a beefy 3,600mAh battery, Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow software, an octa-core Snapdragon or Samsung Exynos chip, and a 12MP rear-facing camera which Samsung claims is 95 percent better at taking pictures in low light than its Galaxy S6 Edge predecessor.
